Janson Bridging signs LTA with UN World Food Programme
Janson Bridging International has signed a Long Term Agreement (LTA) with the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) for the supply of provision of modular steel bridges and related services.
The WFP is the leading humanitarian organization saving lives and changing lives, delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience by assisting almost 100 million people in around 83 countries each year. WFP's efforts focus on emency assistance, relief and rehabilitation, development aid and special operations. Two-thirds of the work is in conflict-affected countries where people are three times more likely to be undernourished than those living in countries without conflict.
With the LTA the WFP is reinforcing its operational capacity to rapidly mobilise operational facilities and services to support its emergency humanitarian operations in the field. Infrastructure for Food Security is a key component to improve efficiency of field operations. Transportation infrastructure, in particular, forms a key part of both WFP's logistics capacity and the food security of the communities it serves. It ensures the safety net of access market and prevents isolation and risk of 'food shocks'.
Janson Bridging International has entered into the Long Term Agreement to supply its various modular steel bridges and related services worldwide.
