JFB Schoten

The new cycle bridge has been hoisted into place next to Lock 10 in Schoten

The bridge is an engineering achievement as it is entirely made of composite: there is no concrete or steel in it.

Now the final phase will follow: connecting to the existing Bicycle lanes and planting new trees. If everything goes as planned, the first cyclists will be able to cross the new cycle bridge by mid-November 2023. From then on, cyclists can comfortably and smoothly cross the canal completely separated from car traffic.
